KISS KISS – Live photos & Free MP3
Kiss Kiss has a new album that comes out on July 7th called “The Meek Shall Inherit What’s Left” on Eyeball Records. Unlike most bands who write music with instruments in hand, these guys write it out on paper before even playing it. Pretty intellectual, huh? They even build some of their instruments and record on two inch tape.
The record was produced by Dan Goodwin (Nora Jones, Murder by Death, The Bravery, Thursday), who also produced their lauded debut Reality Vs. The Optimist. The Meek Shall Inherit What’s Left is filled with drums, bass, guitars, basic keyboards, live pianos, a string quartet, and brass choir. Rebecca Schlappich, the mastermind behind the strings was both Suzuki & Galamian trained.
Frontman Josh Benash describes the album as “Dark orchestral rock music for the slightly demented”. He also describes the band as a “pop band with schizophrenic urges for the avant garde”. When it comes to song writing, Josh tends to focus on the worst aspects of humanity. The greed, the violence, and the lack of empathy we have for each other on a global level.
In support of their forthcoming record, they’re hitting the road on a regional & Canadian tour and TWRY recently caught them on their stop in Cambridge, MA at The Middleast – check out the photos here.
