Show Alert: “An Acoustic Evening With Trey Anastasio” On November 18th At Princeton University
Trey Anastasio has announced plans for “An Acoustic Evening With Trey Anastasio” on November 18th. The show will take place before an intimate crowd at Princeton University’s Alexander Hall, renowned for its acoustics.
Anastasio will perform songs from throughout his career. The Scorchio Quintet, which supported Anastasio at the Tibet House benefit shows, will back him on select songs.
String arrangements for The Scorchio Quintet will be by celebrated composer/arranger Don Hart, one of Anastasio’s longtime collaborators. Hart arranged material from Anastasio’s Seis de Mayo album for a performance at the 2004 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. Thereafter the pair collaborated on Anastasio’s Shine (2005), Bar 17 (2006) and 18 Steps (2006), and co-composed Time Turns Elastic, a classical piece thathas been performed by Orchestra Nashville, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic and recorded by The Northwest Sinfonia, conducted by David Sabee.
Tickets for “An Acoustic Evening with Trey Anastasio” will go sale this Wednesday, October 27th, at 10:00 a.m. ET at http://treytickets.rlc.net. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. on the evening of November 18th and the concert will begin at 8:00 p.m.
