Ian Anderson and the best known flute in rock and roll recently returned to the USA for his solo tour.  On a rare stop at the Calvin Theater in Northampton, MA Anderson was armed with gems from the Tull back catalogue, featuring many of the acoustic tracks from the early albums as well as some new material specially written for these solo shows.

With electric and acoustic performances to satifsy everyone Ian Anderson and Co. played for a little over two hours .  Joining Anderson on stage were Florian Opahle on guitars, John O’Hara on accordion and piano, David Goodier on bass guitar and Scott Hammond on drums. “A trill of flute, the rolling thrum of pick on string, the snorting honk of harmonica and the bounce of aging buttock. So, roll back the years. Shrug off the trials and doubts of middle age. Put a spring in your step and fan the flames of youth remembered.”

The set list:

Hare in the Wine Cup
