Concert Gallery: Matisyahu at The Paradise in Boston, MA
Matisyahu is an eclectic artist that continues to reinvent himself time and time again, as any true artist strives for. From his unique take of mixing reggae with beat-boxing and his Hasidic Jewish faith to his latest 2009 release Light which he describes as a “laidback pop-rock and acoustic folk-soul”, his musical spectrum is broad. Whether you’re a fan of reggae, hip-hop, or just want to take in a little live Hebrew rap, Matisyahu has a little something for all of us in the form of music, performance or just true inspiration.
Matisyahu’s strongest asset has always been his live performance. It’s how a lot of music fans were first introduced to his work, through his Live at Stubb’s live album released in 2005. His live show only gets better with age and is connection with the crowd is truly unpenetrable.
Matisyahu has always had a loyal following in Boston so it’s no surprise that he’d want to kick off his Summer tour here! Matisyahu continues to tour through early September hitting all corners of the country so check him out while you can! You can check out the remaining tour dates on his website here. He will be back in New England as part of the Lowell Summer Music Series on September 3rd and at Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT on September 4th.
