Behind every great band is a hard working publicist! TWRY has worked with our share of publicists over the years but sometimes there are those that stand out. Rey Rolden at Another Reybee Production/Reybee, Inc. is one of those guys and obviously, we’re not the only ones who think so!
Rey recently had a fire resulting in a lot of damage, the fine folks at Paper + Plastick Records have put together a 40-track Benefit Compilation set to a ‘pay-what-you-want-to-donate’ price, with all proceeds to benefit Rolden.
So do it folks! Let’s remember that we’re all this little thing called music together and help support the community. Check out the 40 tracks below and purchase your copy here!

Earlier this week I went to see a band I’ve been a long-time fan of, Blind Pilot. A folksy 6-piece, beyond standard instruments they feature an upright bass, trumpet, vibraphone, banjo, uke, dulcimer, and a large accordion-like box whose name eludes me and my google search terms.
I was not scheduled to review this show, and this cathartic creed is not designed to be a show recap. Though the show was great, when I left I was distracted by memories of some of the most obnoxious fellow concert-goers I’d ever encountered, instead of revelling in after-show glow. As someone who is constantly going to shows, I encounter tons of different crowds. I rarely find myself at the kinds of shows that involve circle pits or tossed underwear, but even then I understand that these shows have their time and place. I do, however, think that there are a few widely-accepted rules of non-punk/metal concert-going etiquette, so I’d like to compose my very own Crowd Manifesto. Read more

“We went through a lot as a band on this last album cycle that, in some ways, really challenged our friendships. It was all new for us and we had our difficulties dealing with it, but came out a stronger better band cause of it. Thick As Thieves really explains our mindset as a band, we realized that nothing can come between us unless we allow it to, and we got back to basics as a band, just four guys writing music that really meant something to us first. We believe that it’ll translate to the fans better if it comes from an honest place.” – Casey Walker (lead singer)
