RATT is showing a little love to their fans with a free show at the Key Club in Los Angeles on July 29th.
This free show is presented as part of the Sunset Strip Summer Concert Series and is being sponsored by BING. The show will be filmed for a forthcoming, feature-length documentary about the famed Sunset Strip, where some of the most culturally relevant bands of the past four decades were spawned. The documentary will also feature X representing the ‘70s; Jane’s Addiction representing the ‘90s; Pussycat Dolls representing the ‘00s; and of course, Ratt representing the ‘80s.
Tickets will be available here: www.therattpack.com/contests/lagiveaway, so get them now, because they are guaranteed not to last.
Drive A is leading the way to usher in a new generation of punk that harkens back to the old days of punk. The young quartet (Bruno Mascolo on vocals, Jason Nott on guitar, Cody Root on drums and Taylor Knowles on bass) pride themselves on delivering raw, honest punk songs that pack a punch of equal parts substance and asskicking. Their debut album “Loss of Desire” offers up songs that we can all connect with – anger, frustration and malcontent.
The band recently wrapped up the Bamboozle Road Show tour which saw them sharing the stage with the likes of Hanson and Boys Like Girls. Not where you’d expect to find a rising punk band but these guys made the best of it by poaching as many fans as they could and bringing them over to the Drive A side.
After spending most of the year on the road the band feels closer than ever and is letting the creativity flow as they work on their follow-up album. They also just announced that they’ll be hitting the road in September and October with Escape the Fate and Bullet For My Valentine where they’ll hopefully be trying out some of their new material.
We recently caught up with outspoken front man Bruno Mascolo who was as brutally honest as we had hoped.

Filter recently premiered their video for their single “The Inevitable Relapse”, check it out below.
Directed by Jesus Rodriquez, the video explores a slightly dysfunctional relationship intercut with live footage of the band. “I always wanted to do a video that shows what a healthy addiction looks and feels like, without being some G-rated after school special,” says Richard Patrick.
Filter has also teamed up with ThePublicRecord.com for a promotion that provides fans the opportunity to collaborate on a new version of their single, “The Inevitable Relapse.” The track will be posted on ThePublicRecord.com for fans to download, remix, overdub and repost their own version.
