Courtney Love Kicks Off Summer Tour Dates

Few names in music can get a reaction the way Courtney Love can. Never one to keep a low profile, Love has been surprisingly quiet on the music front for the last few years but that has all changed. What started out as a short run of dates on the East Coast has grown to a cross-country trek that for now has Love as well as guitarist Micko Larkin, bassist Shawn Dailey and drummer Scott Lipps playing through-out the summer ending up in California in late August.
With a handful of dates under their belt the reaction from fans is enthusiastic to say the least. The setlist is primarily drawn from Hole’s Live Though This, Celebrity Skin and Nobody’s Daughter releases.
When it comes to Courtney is easy to be distracted with her tweets and off the cuff remarks. However, all that really matters is that when she’s on her game few performers, if any, can command the attention of everyone in a venue – be it the usher, bartender, boyfriend that got dragged to the show – the way she can. She spellbinding, unpredictable and an awesome mix of flash without the fluff. Be sure to catch her on this run of dates because you never know how long the next hiatus is gonna be and there’s nothing worse then logging on the next day and reading how great the show was…and you weren’t there
