Concert Gallery: Parachute at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston, MA

It was a balmy night under the tent at the Bank of America Pavilion last night but those that made it there early enough to catch the opening acts for the Goo Goo Dolls show were in for a treat!  Parachute started the show off and although they were only afforded a short set, they definitely made the most of it.

The band released their latest album The Way It Was on May 17th of this year so the crowd was treated to a healthy dose of songs from their most recent album including the latest single “Something To Believe In” intertwined with songs from their debut release Losing Sleep including perhaps the loudest singalong of their set courtesy of  “She Is Love”.  They also threw in a cover of The Wallflowers “One Headlight”.  I think the diehards that were there specifically for Parachute probably would have preferred another original song but playing the opening slot can be tricky for a band.  You have to traverse the fine line of trying to introduce yourself to new fans while keeping them entertained, so sometimes throwing in a cover helps win a crowd over.  On this particular night, I don’t think they needed the extra push, the crowd seemed to be in the palm of their hands from the first note.

Check out our gallery of photos from their set below and catch them on the remainder of the Goo Goo Dolls tour through August.  Remaining dates available here.
