U2 has been bringing their U2360° Tour and it’s “giant claw” to stadiums from one side of the country to the other for the past few years and they’re about to wrap up Leg 3 next month at the end of July.
Is there a Leg 4 on the horizon? As of now, we don’t know but judging from sold out performances everywhere they go, it would be welcomed. Stay tuned to their website for all announcements and remaining tour dates.
This past weekend the band had a two show run at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, CA. Our photographer Raymond Ahner was on hand to capture some of that U2 magic, check out his gallery below.

Last week news broke that U2 frontman underwent emergency surgery on his back. Many fans feared what this might mean for the tour and the band has now officially announced that the tour is postponed. The dates will be rescheduled in 2010. Here’s the announcement from www.u2.com:
Speaking at the LMU University Hospital in Munich, Paul McGuinness has confirmed the postponement of 16 shows on the U2360° Tour from Salt Lake City on June 3rd, through to New Jersey’s Meadowlands Stadium on July 19th. Tour Promoters Live Nation are now rescheduling those dates.
Paul McGuinness said, ‘Our biggest and I believe best tour has been interrupted and we’re all devastated. For a performer who lives to be on stage, this is more than a blow. He feels robbed of the chance to do what he does best and feels like he has badly let down the band and their audience. Which is of course nonsense. His concerns about more than a million ticket buyers whose plans have been turned upside down, we all share, but the most important thing right now is that Bono make a full recovery. We’re working as fast as we can with Live Nation to reschedule these dates.’
Dates to be rescheduled in 2010:
Tour promoters Live Nation have confirmed that the 16 U2360° shows from Salt Lake City on June 3rd, through to New Jersey’s Meadowlands Stadium on July 19th, will be rescheduled for 2011.
U2 tour producer/promoter Arthur Fogel, CEO of Live Nation Global Touring, said, ‘Although we understand the disappointment to U2 fans, first and foremost comes the recovery of Bono.’
Additional details on rescheduled dates will follow shortly and fans are encouraged to hold on to their tickets. We’ll have all the information on U2.com as soon as it’s confirmed.

U2360° At The Rose Bowl will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on June 3, coinciding with the band’s first U.S. show in 2010. U2360° At The Rose Bowl was the penultimate gig of last year’s U2360° tour in support of their Grammy-nominated album No Line on The Horizon. The Rose Bowl performance was the band’s biggest show of 2009 and U2’s biggest ever US show, with a live audience in excess of 97,000.
The show was also streamed across seven continents via YouTube. The first ever live streaming of a full-length stadium concert, U2360° at the Rose Bowl had over 10 million views on the channel in one week.
Shot entirely in HD, the concert was filmed with 27 cameras and directed by Tom Krueger who had previously worked on U23D, the first live action 3D concert movie taken from U2’s Vertigo Tour. View the trailer here at http://www.u2.com/news/title/rose-bowl-concert-on-dvd.
